STAR TREK

Ok, So I get asked quite often, why as a fan of Star Trek, Owning almost every episode, tons of memorabilia, etc etc etc. Why do i dislike Discovery.

Well, my only real answer is Things must follow a timeline. Once you stuff around with the timline everythings all screwed up.
Imagine if you will with the star wars series, if in episode 15 years down the track, Han solo just magically appears alive. Or princess leia shows up as a new actor. Ignore the toimeline and things begin to look stupid.

Thus my main problem with discovery. They've thrown the timeline to the wind and done whatever they like.

Enterprise Original Series Discovery Movies TNG DS9

First complaint, The Klingons. In enterprise we see the distinctive Head Ridges, Now in Enterprise The Klingons released the augment virus which was a modified form of Levodian flu that threatened to wipe out the Klingon race in the mid-22nd century. It was inadvertently created by Klingon researchers who were attempting to bio-engineer enhanced warriors using DNA from genetically-modified Human embryos left over from Earth's Eugenics Wars. Thus, the loss of the Head ridges in the original series and following the time line.
Enterprise through DS9 All good. Now look at this abomonation in the middle. Where the hell does that fit in the timeline. It does not therfore it should not be there.

Next at a quick look. Ships, or ship bridges for a quick argument.

The NX-01 Bridge, Sparse, Bare, Almost Miltary Looking.

The Discovery Bridge - Although this is still similar. The Tech is just beyond anything else seen. Monitors that just float before you etc.

And Look at that Viewscreen, Pretty Impressive

The Next Model Ship. Is it slicked down to make things easier, did floating screens not work.

Was the main viewscreen too good, or did the United federation of planets run out of money.

And of course the next model, Ncc1701a

and NCC1701D

Now as anyone can see, the tech gets better and better over the years. However Discovery in the Middle there, does NOT fit the timeline. Even when They buggered up Enterprise with their Xindi storyline. At least they followed the timeline. and even tried to explain how things had been developed.
Discovery, ahhh, we can do what we like, throw anything in there. No Im sorry, It doesnt fit in the timeline, it needs to be fixed and done from scratch, or just thrown away burned and never spoke of again.
